Landscape Ecology and Sustainability Laboratory (LESL) - formerly known
as Landscape Ecology and Modeling Laboratory (LEML) - is the research lab
of Prof. Jianguo Wu, which was established in 1995 at Arizona State University.


Main research areas at LESL include:
Current research at LESL covers a wide range of topics, including: (1) the effects
of landscape pattern on population and ecosystem processes, (2) urbanization
and its ecological consequences, (3) biodiversity and ecosystem functioning and services, (4) scaling of patterns and processes in landscapes, and (5) sustaianbility measures and models.
